Automatic driver updates are fast, efficient and eliminate all the guesswork. However since he couldn't find the drivers himself, & he asked me to see what I could do, I guess it's worth a shot, since it'd be nice not to have to get a new one.Option 1 (Recommended): Update drivers automatically - Novice computer users can update drivers using trusted software in just a few clicks. Although, the webcam did work before I reformatted, & it's the only webcam he's got, otherwise I'd say screw it, & ask for a new one for Christmas, lol. I know my friend got this webcam used, & without the original driver disc, & keyboard that it came with. Supposedly it came with some keyboard originally. I think the website is a crap job, & it doesn't even show the webcam really. PI: LA0912W064 (I have no idea what "PI" is but it's listed above the model number, so I thought it was of some importance)Īlso it was made in China if that means anything. Model: AW l1130B (I think there's a space between the "W", & the "l", I'm not quite sure since it's not very definitive, but I thought I should put that out there) So I would appreciate if someone can help me with the Network Controller, & Unknown Device, but I'm much more concerned about getting help with the webcam drivers, please? Sorry I'm not sure what it's called, but my point is one of the missing drivers is a network controller, & from what I could tell from the "Unknown Device" it is a "Nvidia EHCI USB 2.0 Controller" if got the right Hardware Ids from it. So this laptop is running on a wireless card that is a card, & slides into some port almost 2 inches wide. Below is all the description I can get outta the database. Atleast I think that I typed in the correct Vendor &/or Device number. The only thing I'm getting from the Hardware Id database is that it says the vendor name is "ASUS", & there is no other description of it. Anyways, heres some specs, & Hardware Ids. If I remember correctly I installed some Japanese driver that was for a printer, or something, maybe I dunno, lol. I remember having to find these drivers for his old build, where ever the hell this li'l demon of a driver was hiding, lol. I figured I may as well ask if anyone has any help for the missing drivers, but more importantly the webcam drivers. The main drivers that are needed for normal functioning. I figured they weren't necessary for it to function normally, considering that I installed the Nvidia graphics drivers, chipset, sound, wireless, etc. How ever a few of the drivers in the device manager were yellow flagged, including his external webcam. So I put Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit, on his Lenovo ThinkPad T61. He instead shut down immediately, & brought it to me first thing. So this morning I finished reformatting my friends laptop after he got some "FBI" virus that said he needed to pay some fine.
